Mistakes you can make are endless. Some mistakes designers can help you dodge are: suitable flooring for high traffic areas, correct wall color for a sunny room, the right materials for each space (marble is beautiful, but stains easily), lighting placement at correct heights and functionality, placing shower valves in easy to use places and all the small details, like under cabinet lighting in kitchen to name a few.

As a designer, we have discounts at certain places that we extend to our clients. Most of these discounts offered are in retail stores, so typically it’s for furniture and accessory pieces, as well as plumbing and appliances as well. Retail shops typically jack the prices up when selling to you, I mean like 150% markup. Insane!

Sourcing honest, reliable and affordable contractors and vendors. We have built relationships with all of our contractors and vendors, this takes a lot of time and hassle from your worry. As designers, we are there to make sure no delay’s (things happen) and to problem solve when there is something wrong (again, things happen). As seen on HGTV!

Again, our biggest task is to keep the project and you on track while saving you money. Let’s face it, who has year to slowly finish a project? Nobody! We schedule contractors and creating a calendar to say on track, as much as possible.
